Privacy Policy

fuelhaulers.live ("fuelhaulers.live," "we," "us") is a community website for fuel haulers in Texas to share rack conditions, talk with other drivers, review carriers, find jobs, and honor drivers we've lost. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the website at fuelhaulers.live and any fuelhaulers.live mobile app.

The short version: we collect what you give us to run your account and show your posts. Rack reports, chat messages, posts, and your profile name and photo are visible to other visitors. Company reviews are shown without your name. We don't sell your personal information. You can delete your account and everything you posted at any time from the Me page.

Information you give us

Account information: your name, email address, password, the company you drive for, your home area, and the endorsements you choose to list. Your password is stored by our login provider in encrypted form; we never see it.
Profile photo: if you add one.
Things you post: rack reports (how busy a terminal is, trucks in line, lanes down, notes, and any updates you make), City Chat messages, feed posts and links, company reviews and ratings, job posts, memorial tributes and their photos, likes, candles, and "still accurate" confirmations.
Reports and blocks: if you report content or block another driver, we keep a record of that.
Messages to us: if you email us, we keep your message and email address to reply.

Information collected automatically

Login session: your browser or app stores a login token so you stay signed in, plus a few settings (like which tab and city you last viewed). These are stored on your device.
Technical data: our hosting and database providers automatically receive standard technical information when you use the site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the time of your visit. They use it to deliver the service, keep it secure, and troubleshoot problems.
Analytics: if we use Google Analytics, it uses cookies or similar technology to tell us how visitors use the site (for example, pages viewed and general location such as city). We use this only in aggregate to improve the site.
Advertising: if we show ads through Google AdSense, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites. We do not collect your precise GPS location.

How we use information

To create and run your account, including approving new drivers so the community stays drivers-only.
To show your posts, rack reports, and profile to other visitors.
To keep the community safe: reviewing reported content, removing posts that break our Terms of Use, and suspending accounts.
To send account emails, like confirming your email address or resetting your password.
To understand how the site is used and make it better.
To show ads, if we run them.
To follow the law and respond to valid legal requests.

What other people can see

Public to everyone: rack reports (shown as "Verified driver"), City Chat messages, feed posts, job posts, and approved memorial tributes. Your name and profile photo appear next to your chat messages and feed posts.
Company reviews: shown as "Verified driver" without your name. We store which account wrote each review so we can prevent spam and enforce our rules, but we don't show it publicly.
Admins can see the email address, company, and endorsements of drivers waiting for approval, and the content of anything that's been reported.

Anything you post publicly can be seen, copied, or shared by others. Please don't post private information about yourself or anyone else.

Who we share information with

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run fuelhaulers.live, and only as needed for them to do that work:

Supabase: our database, login, and photo storage provider.
GitHub Pages: hosts the website.
Google: fonts, and analytics and advertising if we use them.
jsDelivr: delivers a code library the site uses.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the safety of our users or the public, or as part of a sale or transfer of fuelhaulers.live (in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information).

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account at any time: sign in, open the Me page, and tap Delete my account. This permanently removes your login, your profile and photo, and everything you posted, including rack reports, chat messages, posts, likes, reviews, job posts, and memorial tributes you submitted.

If you can't sign in, email support@fuelhaulers.live from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm and complete the request within 30 days. Copies may remain in routine backups for a short time before they are overwritten.

How long we keep information

We keep your account information while your account is open. Rack reports are only shown on the board for 2 hours and in terminal history for 24 hours, but they stay in our database until you delete them or your account. We may keep limited records longer when needed for safety, to enforce our rules, or to meet legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can update your profile photo or delete your account from the Me page.
You can delete your own feed posts, and block drivers whose messages you don't want to see.
You can turn off personalized ads through Google Ad Settings.
Depending on where you live (for example, Texas or California), you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the sale of personal information or targeted advertising. To make a request, email support@fuelhaulers.live. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access rules that stop drivers from changing each other's information, and a trusted provider for logins and storage. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password you don't use anywhere else.

Children

fuelhaulers.live is for adult commercial drivers and people who work in the fuel hauling industry. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll post a notice on the site.
